The original Tesla Roadster was a feat of “amazingness”! The new Tesla Roadster; well, with an expected Zero to Sixty of 1.9 seconds… It’s simply going to be Awesome!

As a nod to one of his favorite space movies, the new Tesla Roadster has an available “Ludicrous” mode and the screen “go’s plaid” when doing a standing launch in a sizzling zero to 60 run. Those who have put a $5,000 deposit or paid for the Founder’s Model at $250,000 up front received test rides in Engineering test models at a recent launch event. Comments from people receiving these test drives included “no comparison” from a man who owns a Model S P100D that already has the Ludicrous mode upgrade.

Not to mention perhaps the latest news from Tesla; Elon Musk’s personal Tesla Roadster is now officially the fastest car in our solar system at 18,000 mph. Before you think that a ludicrous statement, understand that Tesla’s CEO, Elon Musk, demanded that his own Tesla Roadster be placed as cargo on the latest Falcon Heavy Rocket transport. This was inevitably a marketing ploy and probably the fulfillment of some deep seated dream by Elon Musk, however, the images sent back are breathtaking and beautiful. Great job Elon! Mission successful and furthermore, well done. Apparently, he has a new replacement on order…
